Short version: play as much as you like, don't break it for others, and understand that a free game comes without guarantees.
Using the game
Maze Painter is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial entertainment. By playing you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
You may play the game, install it to your device through your browser, and share links to it. You may not copy, redistribute, sell or republish the game, its levels, artwork, sounds or code, or use them to build another product, without written permission.
Fair play
Progress and stars are recorded by the game’s server based on the moves you actually make. You agree not to interfere with the site, for example by sending forged requests, automating play, probing for vulnerabilities, or attempting to obtain levels or rewards other than through play. We may block access from any device or address that does so.
Your progress
Progress is stored in a cookie on the device you play on, as described in our privacy policy. It is not tied to an account, so it cannot be transferred between devices or recovered if the cookie is cleared, and we cannot restore it for you. We may reset progress that was obtained by breaking these terms.
Advertising
The site shows advertising provided by third parties. We do not control the content of those adverts and are not responsible for the products or sites they lead to. Blocking adverts is your choice; the game will keep working.
Availability and changes
We may change, add or remove levels, mechanics, cosmetics or features at any time, and may suspend or end the service without notice. We will try to keep progress intact across changes but cannot promise it.
No warranty
The game is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the game, including lost progress. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.
Intellectual property
The Maze Painter name, the game design, levels, graphics, sounds and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms grant you no ownership in any of them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of the site is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the courts there unless local consumer law gives you the right to another venue.
